training style + ethos -

Play is one of the most empowering ways to connect with your dog. It boosts everyone’s endorphins, builds relationship and taps in to their natural instincts. By using play intentionally we strengthen mutual trust, learn how to communicate and start to meet their needs.

It is my belief based on experience that a life lived on lead, or in constant restraint, isn’t a complete life for a dog. If giving your dog more freedom in controlled environments feels impossible right now, we can work together to build the connection that creates that opportunity.

freedom to move

Dogs are our companions, however they are also animals, predators even, and while they live in our homes, the law recognises us as the responsible party. In turn we bear the burden of ensuring safety for others, and our dogs - and that means more than fairness or emotion in the moment.

safety

Dogs are incredible social learners! Given the chance they can pick up skills and habits just by watching others - dog AND human! If your dog has been kept away from other dogs due to worry about what will happen, or poor previous advice, we can help you rebuild that pathway step by step, to meaningful social connection.

social learning

While we may not be seen as equal in the eyes of the law, I strive for true partnership with my dogs. I want to be able to listen when they say there is a threat ahead - their senses are sharper than mine! But if everything feels like a threat, we first restore balance, reduce stress, build confidence & create shared experiences.

partnership

Living with a reactive or unpredictable dog is stressful and isolating - it’s hard to enjoy daily life when you’re always on edge. That’s where support from people who know what you’re going through is vital, and why I offer more than just training when you work with us - we have a community where you’re not alone.
